Witte Museum

A little history about the Museum, at the time I was employed there it was known as the San Antonio Museum Association, or SAMA. They hated that name. Both the Witte and Art Museum were operated under one roof, the business end anyway, but each had their own board of directors who had very different agendas. That probably led to the split whereas the Art museum became the Museum of Art and the Witte stayed the Witte.

Of course when the two were one I had the opportunity to do design for the Art Museum as well as the Witte.

I was lucky to have a better opportunity come my way before the two organizations started fighting over the collections.

It was a good time to be there.
